Your Journey Awaits!

Beautiful, newly renovated, yet rustic cottage with over 200 feet of waterfront on Cross Lake, which comfortably sleeps a maximum of 7 people.  Enjoy the sun on the dock through the mid-day and afternoon and then enjoy the magnificent sunsets after dinner right from the dock or deck.

Watch the kids splash and play in the water that has a gentle rocky entry from the shore, but deep enough for diving from the end of the dock. Navigate your way along the predominantly crown land shore lines in the kayaks, paddle boat and/or canoe, or do a short portage to the close by uninhabited lakes where you can drop a fishing line or just paddle and drift along.  Directly across the lake from our shoreline is known to the locals as "The Beach '' where you can paddle to spend the day on a gradual shallow entry of a sandy bottom waterfront.

In the evening, roast marshmallows around the open campfire pit, which is located halfway between the shoreline and the deck.

Cross lake is known for great fishing (walleye, lake trout bass), but please be sure to follow all fishing rules and regulations ... catch and release leaves good fishing for all.

BlueBerry Island - quiet little island (with wild blueberries when in season), which is a great place for peace and quiet and a nice paddle destination during the day.

On rainy days, prepare a nice cup of tea or hot cocoa as there are many board games located in the cottage.  Or, with all the front windows of the cottage you can watch the rain on the water, or visit a nearby town or try the many ATV trails.  There is a TV provided in the main cottage and the one in bunkie where you can step back in time with our VCR's and watch a good selection of classic movies. There are also many books onhand so just find a comfy spot on the couch and curl up in front of the cozy wood stove fireplace.

Visit the quaint surrounding small towns or take a hike on the numerous trails in nearby Algonquin Park. You can plan an afternoon to see famous Moore's Falls by canoe just a few minutes drive up the road or plan to take a hike up Eagles Nest in Bancroft.  So much to see and do!
